Vallectric were employed by Houlton to carry out the design and electrical installation works to a new blast proof office building based within the Phillips 66 oil refinery.
The works consisted of new main and sub main distribution equipment, lighting, emergency lighting, exterior/amenity lighting, power, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, vehicle access and IT/data installations.
The new Blender Satellite Centre is located directly adjacent to the existing refinery storage tanks and constructed to high safety standards including blast-proofing, in the event of any explosion and air-tight in the event of any gas release.
All aspects of the Client’s operations, the operations and activities of the existing refinery site and every aspect of the new development project were governed by the strictest standards of health and safety.

Vallectric were appointed by Willmott Dixon to provide the mechanical and electrical services to the new Flemingate retail park in Beverley. The works included an 80 bed Premier Inn, a multi storey car park, a multi-screen cinema and retail outlets.
The scope of works included the full M&E installation to the Premier Inn, car park and landlord services to the retail units, including lighting, precinct lighting, fire alarms and smoke ventilation system to the multi story car park car park.

Vallectric were appointed by Houlton to carry out the electrical installation to the extended and refurbished A&E department at Hull Royal Infirmary. Vallectric supplied and installed new mains distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, IT/data, power, nurse call, IPS equipment, UPS equipment and access control systems. Out of hours working was also required to connect the new systems into the existing hospitals systems.
The works were carried out at the heart of a fully operational hospital with many interfaces and connections required to the hospitals existing systems. These were carefully planned with the hospital and carried out during weekends, late at night or early mornings to ensure that the normal hospital operations were not disrupted.

Vallectric were appointed by Hall Construction to provide the electrical services to the new control room and data centre at the Humberside Fire and Rescue Headquarters in Hull. The work comprised of the removal of the redundant services. Vallectric supplied and installed a new standby generator, mains distribution, new lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, gas suppression systems, power, IT/data and access control systems.
The works included the temporary relocation of the existing control room whilst the works were carried out within the building and the seamless changeover from the temporary facilities to the new centre on completion, all carried out without causing any disruption to the day to day operations of the headquarters. This was only achieved with careful planning and consultation with the client and completing change over works within tight schedules.

Vallectric were appointed as a sub-contractor by Houlton’s to carry out the electrical design and installations to a new build College for East Riding College.
The installation which formed part of the Flemingate development in Beverley included full electrical design and services to the college including the main & sub main distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, emergency call systems, PV system, a wind turbine access control, intruder alarm, data services & CCTV. The works were completed on time and on budget for the new college intake in August.

Vallectric were appointed as a sub-contractor by Houlton to carry out the electrical installations to the New Trinity House School in Hull.
The installation to this prestigious city centre project included full electrical services to the refurbished main school building which was formally the Derek Crothall building and a new build sports hall. Works included new main & sub main distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, emergency call systems, access control, intruder alarm, refuge alarm and data services. The works were carried out to a very high standard despite a tight contract programme and were completed on time and on budget.

Vallectric were employed by Hobson & Porter to carry out the M&E services to a new build extension at Towngate School in Ossett.
The systems installed included lighting (including emergency and external lighting), general power, fire alarms, access control, CCTV, plumbing, heating, sanitary ware underfloor heating, ventilation above ground drainage and emergency call systems. The day to day activities of the school were not interrupted during the works despite the installation of new mains distribution equipment within the existing building and the installation of a new site wide fire alarm system.

The facilities within the accommodation included a laundry, student common room, management suite and car park. A separate industrial unit also formed part of the scheme to enable the residents to train in the repair of household furniture for sale within the client’s charity shop.
